Cleveland Taylor
United winger Cleveland Taylor spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria on Friday evening about Carlisle's 4-0 midweek Carling Cup defeat at QPR, Taylor also talking about his own form at the moment :

" Up until half-time we thought that we were well in the game. A bit unlucky really, three great finishes from the striker (Emmanuel Ledesma). It is a difference at that level, obviously they can pay money and they pay money for good strikers who score good goals. I wouldn't say sides are like that every week but you have got your top five clubs that are really good and they are fighting to get into the Premier League. Obviously the Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world, so the quality is going to be there.

" I'm very happy with my form and fitness, let's hope that I can keep it up and keep working hard really. The main thing though is that the team keeps doing well and that we keep picking up points. It was very frustrating for me at the start because obviously all that you want to do as a player is do your best, and the team was in such a good position and you want to help the team. It's one of those things in life but I had to deal with it and I have learnt from that.

" When you are ill you never think that you are really ill. I was in hospital a few days before I came in, you think that you will be fine but it does take quite a lot out of you, and I was playing catch up from when I first arrived. Football is about confidence at the end of the day, I was probably getting a bit of stick, but I was frustrated with myself because I knew that I could do a lot better.

" All I wanted was a good pre-season, I have worked hard through pre-season and I knew that once I got a good pre-season behind me that my football would start to show. With the squad that the gaffer (John Ward) has built at the club, if one player slips out for whatever reason then another player just as good can step in. There is competition for places all over the park.

" It's always good to get your first goal but the most important thing is that we win, but it would be nice to get a goal because it boosts confidence. Yeovil are a very good team, they have had some very good results in the last few weeks so we are not going to be taking them lightly. We have got to get Tuesday out of our system because I think we were a bit unlucky, so hopefully they will be up for a very good game because I think that the lads are ready to go.

" We did very well at QPR in the first-half, we were very unlucky going in at half-time not to have two penalties, but obviously we weren't the bigger club so the referee is not going to give you those decisions. They were very nice facilities, you expect that from a club that has got a lot of money and a lot of backing at the minute, so they are a team on the up.

" The new signings have brought quality to the squad once again. We have got a great squad and they are all quality experienced players. We are very confident as long as we work hard and keep doing the right things, and doing what we are doing and work hard in training. We'll be up there and fighting for a promotion place. "
