Alex' striker Clayton Donaldson spoke to his club's official website about Crewe's 2-1 defeat at home to Carlisle, Donaldson saying that the players just need to put the disappointment behind them :

" The Carlisle game was just one of those days when nothing went for us, we had chances from outside the box, but just couldnt put them in the back of the net. On any other day we could have gone on to win it. We battled on though and even though we were 2-1 down we could have nicked a point.

" Everyone in the changing room - you could just see their disappointment, we haven't tasted defeat for a while, and it was a bit of an eye opener for everyone and we still have a lot of work ahead of us to go at, and plenty of games to play. The quicker we can get over it and pick ourselves up the better.

" We did so well to get out of the bottom four, everyone was giving it doom and gloom and writing us off at Christmas, so we have done well, and I just hope that we don't throw all the good work out of the window after a bad result. We're not going to win every game and get points every game, as long as we come back and assess ourselves and get ready for Saturday that is the important thing. "
