Bees boss Andy Scott
Brentford manager Andy Scott spoke to BBC Radio London and his club's official website after his side's 3-1 win over Carlisle at Griffin Park, Scott happy with the performance of the Bees after almost three weeks of inactivity :

" Frustrated that we haven't been playing games but it all makes it a little bit better today. You have to play to the conditions, we knew that it was going to be wet of course. It wasn't just the conditions of the pitch, it was the fact that we hadn't played for close on three weeks. So you have to feel your way back into it and doing that the best way is making sure that you don't make mistakes, and if you make mistakes do it in their half.

" It took us about 20 minutes to get into our stride but after that I thought we played with a bit more tempo and a bit more positivity. For the first 20 or 25 minutes it looked as though we were waiting for them to do something, although we did defend solidly during that period.

"Then we started to get players on the ball and when we got ahead we never looked back. We created probably more chances today than we have done for a long, long time and we could have wrapped it up with a lot more goals. We wanted to continue the momentum we had (around) Christmas and we were better if anything, certainly in the second half.

" Myles (Weston) was fit but clearly over the Christmas period, coming back from a hamstring injury we didn't want to play him two games in a row. But in fairness, Alisdair (Lane) the fitness coach and George (Cooper) the physiotherapist and all the staff have worked hard to make sure that we have maintained our fitness. "

" It has been very, very difficult, there is no doubt about that because we haven't had the areas to train on. But what we have done, we have made sure it has been at a high tempo for the time that we usually use throughout the week.

" The readings that we have had on the heart rate have been great, and it showed at the end today, we were rampant and pushing forward, although clearly they were leaving gaps because they wanted to get the equaliser. But we had plenty of energy left in us and I was very, very pleased with it.

" Disappointed that we had a goal against us because it was never a penalty in my view and the lads deserved a clean sheet. The referee (Roger East) said afterwards he thought it was a penalty but he didn't send Leon (Legge) off, I don't think he was sure so he didn't send him off.

" Nikki (Bull) has got to see the specialist this week to see whether he can progress his rehabilitation. He has done very, very little, it was quite a major operation so it is close whether he will be back playing by the end of the season.

" Lewis Price is on a season long loan from Derby, Wojciech (Szczesny's) loan was up with Arsenal after today's game but we are hopeful that we can extend it and see what we can do with him. Because he has been fantastic for us, there is no doubt, I think he wants to stay, we have spoken to him and it is down to Arsenal now. "
