United media officer and first team kitman Andy Hall spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips ahead of Carlisle's League One match at home to Colchester, Hall first talking about the signing of striker Jason Price on loan from Millwall :

" Jason Price is a good lad, we met him character-wise, he went straight into the dressing-room and started having a laugh as if he had been there for months. So hopefully the lift in the dressing-room, the way he trained yesterday, the other option he will give us upfront with the addition of him to the squad will be just what we need.

" Particularly at a time when what the fans want and what the club wants and the manager (Greg Abbott) wants is to see some good football and some good results. I think what Greg decided to do this week, he has had his post-match talks with the lads where there has been a bit of anger, you might want to describe it as.

" This week he wanted to focus on the positives because there were positives against Millwall, the fact that we were creating more chances than we had done previously, particularly if you look at the Wycombe game which was disappointing for everybody.

" They have got the ball down, they have passed it around, they have looked good until they got into that final third. So hopefully Jason Price will add to that final third factor. You put five people in the midfield who can use the ball and who can tackle as well when they need to, and I think that we are saying is that we are going to try to use that area. "

" We saw it with Colchester in the Brighton game the other night on television, they will get it forward and they will get it forward quickly to the likes of (Kayode) Odejayi because he is a big lad. He will have (Kevin) Lisbie running off him if they can get the ball forward to him so we are going to try to counter that by getting as many people into midfield, using the ball in midfield as we can.

" We have got to say that we are trying to balance the JPT final and the league. We are aware that it is a big game for almost 20,000 fans who are going to come down with us. But inbetween now and then we have got three games that are much bigger in our opinion.

" They are three games where it is the bread and butter, we want to be a League One side, a good League One side, not just next season but this season as well. The only way you can do that is to concentrate on it, focus on it, but always be aware that we have got Wembley as well. We are trying to push towards that but we have got three massive games inbetween.

" You have got to set your target when you are at home to win every single game as soon as you get out there. Because it is for your home fans, these are the people that you want to perform for. You want to perform everywhere you play but it has got to be a target of six points from these two home games. If you get four points out of it then you would have a bit of a smile on your face, anything less and you will be asking questions why.

" Hopefully Ben Williams will get a good reception because he is a great lad. He had a real crisis of confidence at the start of his time with us but I think he battled through that. The character that he showed to battle through and the way he played once he came back was fantastic. Some of the saves that we saw last season were superb from the lad, so hopefully people will remember that because he is a cracking lad and he is a good goalkeeper as well. "
