United chairman Andrew Jenkins spoke to Mike Parr on the BBC Radio Cumbria breakfast show this morning, Jenkins looking back on Carlisle's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Final win over Leeds last night and saying, after the Blues won a penalty shooutout to get through, that United always do things the hard way :

" I am absolutely elated, it is absolutely tremendous. Just a night of drama. We do things the hard way at Carlisle but we made it exciting for everybody, a very good night all round.

" Financially in the past years we have made something like in excess of £300,000 from a trip to Cardiff, and last time we rebuilt the pitch the last time we were there. So it is very important and it is really great for us after a poor season that we had financially last year. I would say we would make around-about £300,000 possibly this time, that is what we are hoping to do.

" John Nixon and I did have to go to a meeting at Wembley last week along with some of the girls out of the office and ticket issues and everything and we have got guidelines that we have got to adhere to with the Wembley Stadium. So tomorrow we are going to have a meeting and have a look at it.

" I didn't see any incidents really apart from the fans coming on the pitch, which it is very difficult to keep that number of people from the pitch. I am sure it is a nigh on impossibility but after the match no-one came to me, and I went to congratulate the manager (Greg Abbott) and the players when they came off the pitch.

" But nobody, and I was probably last to leave the club last night, nobody from Leeds or anyone came forward and told me of any incidents. Infact the safety officer (John Little), we were talking to him and he never said there had been an incident so I don't know, I can't really comment. But we have always got a post-match meeting at lunchtime today and no doubt things will be reported there. "
