RoslerBees boss Uwe Rösler spoke to the official Brentford website ahead of his side's League One game against Carlisle at Brunton Park this afternoon, Rosler letting the train take the strain yesterday :

"There is a big challenge in front of us, there is a lot of travelling involved - I have never made that trip from London. We have had fantastic support from the Club. It was not in our budget to travel by train but I wanted to try and cut down the eight or nine hours it would have taken to go by bus. This will give us the best chance to compete in the right way.

“The Club saw it in the same way and I want to thank them for paying for the train tickets. It is not cheap for us and we are not a huge club but I thought it was absolutely necessary to give ourselves the best chance. The decision came out of our discussions and I suggested it to the board and the board went ahead with it.

"Carlisle have a good home record and it is difficult to go there because of the travelling. We will have to be mentally strong. The win on Wednesday gave us a confidence boost. We know that when we do the right things we are very hard to beat. It is up to us, we respect every team we play but I look at what we can do to win the game, and I think that is the right way to look at it. I think the colder weather is good for us when we played on Wednesday and they didn’t, so it is good that it is not too hot and it makes us ready to run a lot, and that is what is needed.

"I have my team ready for tomorrow, and we will travel with 16 players and I will use all three substitutes in the game to keep the intensity up, so everyone will be on their toes. We have a great spirit in the team and we will bring in one or two fresh players in to lift us in our energetic game, so I think we have a good chance up there. I think everybody looks forward now and after Wednesday we will travel with confidence and look for three points.

"The football we played at Charlton is what we have been working on since we got here. It was a great combination of a solid defensive base and being good going forward, everybody wanted the ball. It was a pure pleasure to watch my players perform that way. I think you can’t play a passing game and be good in possession when three or four players don’t want the ball, it will break down eventually and we will give the ball away,

“When you take the lead you can tactically approach the game a little bit different, you can make it very difficult and play out of the counter, especially when you have got players like we have with a lot of speed. Opponents get restless and sometimes press the panic button and open up, so it gives you the chance for the second goal and the third goal, and that is international-wise the trend as well."
