Peter Shirtliff
Town assistant boss Peter Shirtliff spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One match at home to Carlisle tomorrow, Shirtliff expecting a tough game :

" Tomorrow will be a tough game for us because Carlisle have done reasonably well in recent weeks, and only narrowly lost to Huddersfield on Tuesday night so will be pretty confident. I've been pleased with the way we've been playing recently, but I'd like us to start keeping a few more clean sheets and with that I think we'd look even stronger as an outfit than we do already.

" The club are offering fans the chance to see both this weekend's game with Carlisle and next Tuesday's against Stockport for a combined price of £25 which I think is excellent. It would be great to see fans take up this offer and come along and support us in the same way they have done against Leeds and Charlton in recent weeks, and I'd love to see them continue to back us like they have done all season.

" Six points from these next two games would certainly not do us any harm, but it's important to note there is a long way to go and it is too early to be speculating about where we're going to finish, so we've just got to keep chipping away and see where it takes us - starting with the Carlisle match on Saturday. "

Meanwhile Swindon midfielder Jonathan Douglas commented to the Swindon Advertiser :

" Personally for me I think it's nice for us just to keep ticking along steadily and let people talk about Leeds, Norwich, Charlton and the others around us. We will just keep going until the end of the season and see where it takes us. Hopefully that will be a place in the play-offs.

" I think it's good for us, sometimes when we are at our best we haven't got what we've deserved. Every game is difficult whether you are at home or away, so it shows the character of the team that when we're not playing well we are still going forward and looking to score goals and win games. "

In team news for Swindon, former Carlisle loanee winger Alan O'Brien is still on the comeback trail from a hamstring injury while central midfielder Kurt Hammonds (knee) and left-back Callum Kennedy (pelvis) also miss out as they are still on the treatment table. Another left-back though in Alan Sheehan, who is loan at the County Ground from Leeds, is very close to a recall after returning to full training recently following a hamstring tear.

Finally, injury-wise, centre-back Scott Cuthbert and Celtic-loanee midfielder Simon Ferry, are available to play having shaken off minor knocks picked up in Town's 2-2 draw away to Huddersfield last weekend. One player who won't be in the Robins's squad tomorrow though is winger Lloyd Macklin who today joined Torquay United on a one-month loan deal.

The referee for tomorrow's match is Darren Sheldrake from East Molesey in Surrey, and he will be assisted down the lines by Andy Davies from Southampton and Oleksandr Saliy from Enfield in Middlesex. Meanwhile the fourth official is Lee Collins from Woking in Surrey.
