Ahead of tomorrow's match between the Iron and Carlisle at Brunton Park striker Paul Hayes commented to the Scunthorpe Telegraph about the game :

"There aren't too many teams that are consistent. So we need to stop talking and make sure we get a win. We do all this talking about what we need to do, but when you cross that line it is about those 11 players that go out there and we need to ensure we do it for the club and get as many wins as we can."

While Southampton-loanee left-back Joseph Mills commented to the Telegraph :

" There's definitely going to be a lot more twists and turns before the end of the season. But we're not focusing on other teams, we're focusing on ourselves and the way we prepare for games. We just need to go out there and put in our performances and hopefully pick up wins. "

In team news for the Iron their manager Nigel Adkins is able to fill us in on the latest injuries at Glanford Park, Adkins commenting to his club's official website on Thursday :

" Striker Gary Hooper (groin) is the main concern, while midfielder Henri Lansbury (Achilles) is also a concern for us. Left-back Joseph Mills (knee) is a concern while centre-half Krystian Pearce is off ill at the moment - he's got a sickness and diarrhoea bug.

" Midfielder Garry Thompson has been out with lower abdomen problems while left-winger Martyn Woolford is back in training now, which is good. Striker Ben May managed to get 90 minutes for the reserves at York yesterday, while left-back Michael Lea only got 45 minutes before the recurrence of his hamstring injury.

" Left-back Marcus Williams has just had his boot off for the first time and has done some light jogging - so that's positive news. We'll see what happens with him over the course of the next week. Our information is that the fracture site is not 100% healed so we'll take the advice of the specialist and see what he's like over the rest of this week.

" Like every team, there are injuries and there are niggles. With the amount of games that we have got coming up that will be the case until the end of the season."

The referee for tomorrow's match is Rob Shoebridge from Ripley in Derbyshire, and he will be assisted down the lines by Geoff Eltringham from Sunderland and Lancastrian Neil Yates who was famously investigated for calling Blackpool "donkey lashers" on a Burnley messageboard. Meanwhile the fourth official is Kevin Mattocks from Chorley.
