Lee Clark
Town boss Lee Clark spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at the Galpharm Stadium this evening, Clark saying the Terriers now have to refocus on the league just two days after losing 2-1 at Arsenal in the FA Cup Fourth Round on Sunday lunchtime :

"The lads were back in training yesterday just doing a light session. The atmosphere is good amongst the group; they are gutted they lost the game but happy that they showed everyone what a good side they are. As a group we have to take the performance into the game against Carlisle.

"The confidence the boys now have as a result of the Arsenal game has to be taken into the Carlisle game. We have got to make sure we refocus on the League and make sure we are up for what will be a tough battle against Carlisle.

"I have seen Lee (Peltier) play in that defensive midfielder role before during his Yeovil days - so I knew he could do a job there at Arsenal. I have also seen him play in a defensive midfield role during training before and I was very impressed with his display on Sunday. Also, the performance of Jack Hunt means that I can use Lee in midfield, which gives me more options all over the field.

"Jack has put himself forward for the right-back role on the back of his performance on Sunday, which gives me a welcome headache. Both Jack and Lee are in consideration for the role and one thing I do know now is that we have got two very good right-backs at this Club.

"I was delighted for Alan (Lee) on Sunday; he was a massive handful for the Arsenal defence and proved what a good striker he is. Sadly, his goal wasn't enough to give us a positive result but nevertheless it was a good goal and good to see him get off the mark.

"Even though we want to be looked upon as a good footballing outfit, I would like us to be more solid defensively and concede fewer goals. The defensive side of our game has been something we have been working on and it is good to see it paying off over the last couple of games.

"Tom (Clarke) twisted his ankle at Arsenal and will be out for a couple of weeks. He did it during the game and obviously the news isn't good for us but fortunately we got him off straight away, which will hopefully help his recovery period."

In team news for Huddersfield this evening they have plenty of injury problems going into the game with first-choice goalkeeper Alex Smithies sidelined for up to two months from now following a recent knee operation. While influential midfielder, and Plymouth season-long loanee Damien Johnson, is out after suffering cruciate ligament damage in his knee in early December which will see him absent for the rest of the campaign.

As Clark has already commented on, he is also without centre-half Tom Clarke who twisted his ankle in the Arsenal defeat and will now miss a few weeks of action. Also missing this evening are Town's top scorer Jordan Rhodes who has been ruled out until at the least end of February with an ankle injury, while Newcastle-loanee left-sided defender Tamas Kadar is looking at the same timespan on the back of a serious hamstring tear.

The final pair of Terriers who will be absent at the Galpharm Stadium tonight being two 19-year old second year professionals that have come through Huddersfield's Academy set-up. The duo being left-back Liam Ridehalgh, with glandular fever, and centre-back Leigh Franks wtih a hamstring strain.

The West Yorkshire side did bulk up their squad a little yesterday afternoon though with the re-signing of winger Danny Cadamarteri who left the Galpharm Stadium to join Dundee United in the summer of 2009. He departed the Terrors by mutual consent late last week, but with his last club being that Scottish outfit he won't be available for tonight's game as Huddersfield await international clearance on their "new" player.

The referee for tonight's match is Darren Deadman from Peterborough and he will be assisted down the lines by Scott Duncan from Newcastle and Paul Hodskinson from Bamber Bridge, near Preston. Meanwhile the fourth official is Richard West from Beverley.
