Centre-half Josh Gowling
United centre-half Josh Gowling, who is currently on loan at Hereford until the end of season, spoke to the Worcester News about both his sides clashing at Brunton Park tonight, Gowling missing the game with an ankle injury :

"It's frustrating because I spoke to a few of the lads there (Carlisle) and I really wanted to play and do well. There wasn't anything in the contract to say I could not play for Hereford against Carlisle. I might have had a few boos but it would have been alright. I tried to train a week last Thursday but my ankle was not quite ready - so I am icing it and taking it easy. I am hoping it will be good in a couple of weeks.

"We have had some really tough games. Hopefully, we can go to Carlisle - they're not a team that's on good form - and pick up a win. I am contracted to Carlisle but I am on loan at Hereford. For the meantime Hereford are my club, so my loyalty lies with Hereford."

Meanwhile Bulls boss Graham Turner commented to the Worcester News :

"We have got to get over the Swindon defeat. We have had quite a few decisions go against us in recent weeks - we have got to show our character and move on from it. Realistically we need to win six of our final ten matches. It is going to be a tough ask. We are aware that time is running out and we need to start winning."

And striker Steve Guinan told BBC Hereford and Worcester :

"We needed to start winning four or five games ago and we are starting to run out of games. We need to start creating things in front of goal. At the moment we can't seem to keep a clean sheet, and that's not the fault of the defence, it's the team as a whole. We have to put it right sooner than later, or we are going to go down."

In team news for the visitors, as well as the absent Gowling they will be without on-loan Manchester United midfielder Sam Hewson (groin) and defender Jack MacLeod (ankle). In better news for the Bulls though another loanee, in Bristol Rovers striker Andy Williams, will be available after recovering from a groin problem.

The referee for tonight's match is our old friend Scott Mathieson from Stockport, and he will be assisted down the lines by Gary Beswick from Newton Aycliffe in County Durham and Tony Harrington from Hartlepool. Meanwhile the fourth official is Richard Salt from Northallerton in North Yorkshire.
