Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll, who was speaking to Doncaster's official website and the Doncaster Free Press spoke about the game against United tomorrow and the performance of burly frontman Mark McCammon on his return from a heel injury at Crewe on Tuesday :

"Carlisle are a good side, they got a good result in midweek so they'll be full of confidence, but we are a good side as well. We go into the game looking for three points and a performance of the standard we have been producing in recent weeks. Our last few games have been exciting for both sets of spectators, but I think I would be happy with a 1-0 win.

"It may be that Mark has been used as a big lump up front to win headers and act as a battering ram in the past. But there is much more to his game than that and hopefully he has found a role that he is comfortable with and has come to a place where he can produce his best.

"It's the way we play that most concerns me and overall I thought it was a great performance. There is still room for improvement and we need to learn to kill games off when we get into the position we had at Crewe but the players have worked very hard to reach the standards they showed the other night."

In Rovers team news both Adam Lockwood and Sean Thornton missed the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game at Crewe with a virus and they could make their return against the Blues tomorrow, meanwhile James Coppinger could also be fit again in time for the match after recovering from a hamstring injury. Another returnee who missed the Alex' 3-3 thriller may be Jonathan Forte who has been struggling with a sore knee tendon recently.

Striker Bruce Dyer joined Bradford City on loan before the end of the transfer window while defender Peter Gilbert plays the last game of his temporary spell with Rovers before moving back to Hillsborough after the weekend. Apart from Dyer the only other player definitely ruled out of action is Sean McDaid who has just returned to light training on his comeback from knee ligament damage he suffered at Accrington Stanley two months ago.

The referee for tomorrow's match is Steve Bratt from Walsall in the West Midlands, and he will be assisted down the lines by Craig Barker from Leeds and Geoff Law from Leicester. Meanwhile the fourth official will be Rob Steans who is also from the Leicester area.
