Stuart Gray
Northampton boss Stuart Gray spoke to his club's official website ahead of this afternoon's match at Brunton Park against Carlisle, the Cobblers going into the match with a few injury concerns at centre-half :

"We need to get back on to a run as quickly as possible. Our own good run came to an end on Friday but we have dusted ourselves down and now we are ready for Monday. It is a very difficult game, Carlisle don't lose many games at home but there are seven games to go, 21 points to play for and we are aiming to claim as many of those points as possible.

"With their home form it is going to be a very difficult game, although we will have 24 hours on them because they played on Saturday. We can't go there worrying about their home form, we have to go there and be positive like we were at Walsall a couple of weeks ago. We didn't work their (Nottingham Forest's) keeper enough on Friday and that is something we are looking to improve on at Carlisle on Monday."

In team news for the Cobblers centre-half Mark Hughes looks likely to miss the match through injury, Gray commenting :

"Mark is still struggling with a thigh injury and although he misses the Forest game through suspension anyway I don't think he will be available for the Carlisle game on Monday."

While another two central defenders, in Chris Doig, and Brett Johnson are also out of contention with hamstring injuries, Gray commenting :

"Chris Doig and Brett Johnson are back in training but they both need to play some reserve team football before they are ready to start challenging for a place in the first team."

Then, last but not least, 19-year old right-back Danny May will probably be sidelined with an ongoing calf problem.

The referee for this afternoon's match is Neil Swarbrick from Preston, and he will be assisted down the lines by fellow Lancastrian Russell Green and Dean Mohareb from Stockport in Cheshire. Meanwhile the fourth official is David Webb from County Durham.
