Bradley Johnson
Brighton's loanee from Leeds, in midfielder Bradley Johnson, spoke to the Brighton Argus about tomorrow's match between Carlisle and the Seagulls at Brunton Park, Johnson first looking back on the play-offs in May :

" We had a good time up there with Leeds last season. Hopefully I can have another good time up there. It was good for me to get the goals in the first few days. Now I've had to sit it out but hopefully I can take that form into tomorrow. We know Carlisle are struggling and have lost their manager but they are going to be looking to prove that they are good enough players. It is not going to be easy - it never is up there. They have been good at home until this season.

" I think me and Thommo (Steven Thomson) have a good understanding. If I break in the box he is going to hold and vice-versa. Coming out on loan there is always competition but at Leeds the competition is much tougher even than here. We've got about seven or eight central midfielders, so Gary McAllister has played me on the left as well, which I enjoyed, but my best position is in the centre.

" You have just got to train hard and play well in the games. Hopefully I have done that to get my place back. When I was younger I used to play up front and score quite a lot of goals in Sunday football, so I am confident in front of goal. I am regarded as a goalscoring midfielder. "

In team news for the visitors they have an almost clean bill of health for the game, midfielder Kevin Thornton (tonsillitis) and versatile defender Adam Virgo (calf) being the only doubts for the Seagulls. Meanwhile striker Nicky Forster has recently returned from a knee operation, and as far as ex-Blues go, winger Joe Anyinsah has extended his loan spell from Preston into a third and final month while frontman Glenn Murray makes his return from a thigh problem. Brighton boss Micky Adams commenting on the former United pair :

" It is slightly different this time because Glenn has actually done more work while he has been out. The physio has worked with him, he has worked well in the gymnasium and done all of his rehabilitation. It was probably our fault rushing him back a little bit too early the last time.

" I'll be having a discussion with the chairman and the board about a permanent move for Joe, the kid has shown a lot of potential. He has fitted in nicely with the squad and he is a very personable young man, not an ounce of trouble. He is just the type we need. "

The referee for tomorrow's match is David Webb from Darlington, and he will be assisted down the lines by Paul Varley from Burley-in-Wharfedale near Leeds and Peter Wright from Southport. Meanwhile the fourth official is Richard Clark from Morpeth in Northumberland.
