Uwe RoslerBees manager Uwe Rosler spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at Brunton Park tomorrow afternoon, Rosler expecting a different game to Brentford's 1-0 defeat at the Lamex Stadium in midweek:

“I think Carlisle certainly have a different characteristic to Stevenage, but they are a dangerous team. I think over the years they been in general quite strong at home, but they have a wide pitch and a good pitch which hopefully will suit us and the way we play. At Stevenage the pitch was very compact and we didn’t have time to get the ball down and try to play our normal game, we got sucked into their game and they had better players to play that way than we had.

“Carlisle will be a different scenario, I think both teams have a lot to play for. It will be a tough game and a tight game, but we have to go out knowing what we have to do in terms of competing and in terms of putting a lot of effort in to make the three points count. So, it is very important for us and it is very important for our young squad at this time of the year to know it is a different time of the season than it was in September or October.

“There aren’t many games left now and the pressure is on because it is the business end of the season. I think every goal counts and every point is important and with our league being so tight nearly everybody has to play for something. There are teams chasing promotion and chasing the play-offs, teams down trapped in relegation battles at the moment. So, nearly every team has something to play for and I think that makes it very, very tough now.

“We have to be alert in knowing that every game will be a tough battle in the first place, and hopefully our qualities on the ball and the way we want to play will show throughout the games. It is vital also that our more experienced players share their experience with the younger players, as we have five or six players in our starting eleven who are having their first season in senior football.

“They need every help they can get and especially when we talk about handling the pressure and handling the occasion. Focus on the right things and I am sure those players will do that, they are great lads, they are great professionals and I think that is absolutely needed. Particularly this weekend when we know how long it is to Carlisle, we are going on the train. But, it is a massive effort for all the supporters who go up there and we definitely want to repay them with a strong performance.”

In team news for the Bees tomorrow they will have three players missing through injury. Firstly come two long-term injury victims in striker Farid El Alagui and captain and right-back Kevin O’Connor who have both just returned to training this week after respective knee and ankle injuries, while also sidelined with an ankle problem is winger Sam Saunders. In better news for Brentford boss Rosler though he should be able to call on centre-half Liam Moore despite the Leicester-loanee picking up a dead leg in Tuesday’s night 1-0 defeat at Stevenage.

The referee for tomorrow's match is Scott Duncan from Newcastle and he will be assisted down the lines by Glen Hart from Darlington and Neil Sharp from Hartlepool, Meanwhile completing the North-East quartet is fourth official Martin Coy, who is also from Darlington.
