Marvin Bartley
Cherries midfielder Marvin Bartley spoke to his club's official website ahead of Bournemouth's League One match at home to Carlisle tomorrow, Bartley saying that he is looking forward to the game after last week's disappointment :

" We have worked hard this week and are looking forward to the game on Saturday. We're still disappointed about the result on Saturday (losing 2-1 at Oldham) and we've spoken about it this week. We played well, but conceded two goals in a game where we should have definitely got something from it.

" There was no indication at all that they would get back in to the game because it was so comfortable. All that matters though is that they scored two and we only scored one and the boys were gutted to say the very least. It's gone now though and we are looking forward to going again on Saturday against Carlisle.

" We can't dwell too long on last Saturday and we have to draw on the experiences of the way we responded to set backs last season. We have a lot of big characters in the changing room and we are big enough to get over set backs and are now in a good frame of mind looking forward to an important week with two home games. "

In team news for the Cherries tomorrow they look likely to be missing six players, with veteran striker Lee Bradbury and right-back Stephen Purches the closest to having a chance of featuring in their matchday squad. Bradbury having not trained all week with picking up a knock, while Purches has been sidelined recently with a back problem.

Definitely out though are Mark Molesley and striker Steve Lovell, Molesley out for a year now with a foot problem, while summer signing Lovell has yet to feature for Bournemouth due to a complication to an ankle injury. Finally teenage defender Tim Stephenson is absent with damaged knee ligaments, but striker Michael Symes could yet tomorrow make an earlier than expected return from a shoulder injury.

With all those problems in mind, Cherries boss Eddie Howe has this week dipped into the loan market to find cover for the injured Purches and Bradbury at right-back. Howe snapping up 19-year old Adam Smith from Spurs for a month after, as a condition of the club exiting administration in August 2008, the Football League sanctioned the transfer, a situation that will remain in place at the Fitness First Stadium until the summer of 2011.

The referee for tomorrow's match is David Phillips from Chichester in West Sussex, and he will be assisted down the lines by John Busby from Wallingford in Oxfordshire and Steven Cook from Woking in Surrey. Meanwhile the fourth official is Andrew Laver from Portsmouth.
