Millers boss Alan Knill
Rotherham manager Alan Knill, who was speaking to The Sheffield Star, talked about the game against the Blues tomorrow afternoon, the ex-Scunthorpe defender talking about United's excellent home form and his manager of the month award for October :

"Carlisle are a really good team at home and they have a tremendous record at Brunton Park this season. I'm sure they are looking at our recent form and expecting a hard game from a team in form, but we have to be aware that this is going to be a real test for us up there and we have to be fully prepared for it."

"We need to defend better tomorrow than we did in the first 20 minutes against Crewe. They scored then and had other opportunities and we can't afford to give Carlisle that sort of start or, indeed, those sort of opportunities at any time.

"What we have to do is continue the form and the belief that exists and also note the things we've done that helped us have such a run in October. I keep stressing it, but we have a lot of hard work ahead of us."

On the traditional manager of the month curse Knill commented :

"I know people talk about that - well, it's another challenge for this team. Let's put that one to bed, let's show it doesn't always apply. "To be honest, whilst I really am proud, I'm not one for personal plaudits and me getting a pat on the back. It's the players who have responded and helped us achieve whatever has come our way in this past month and now.

"It means their efforts have been acknowledged. They've been brilliant. Now, I will remind them that the most important game is the next one and the most important month is this one. Let's keep our foot on the gas and, if we do that, we get into a position that we want to be in."

Speaking to the official Rotherham United website Knill also added :

"We had a convincing win last Saturday against Crewe and in all think we have played some great football over our last four games and hopefully it will continue. Confidence is high in the team at the moment but we need to be on the guard against complacency, we still have a lot of hard work to do but I think on the day we are capable of beating anyone.

"It's going to be a tough game as they have a pretty good home form, we have Martin Woods and Eugen Bopp missing due to suspensions but luckily we have Justin Cochrane back. I was up at Hartlepool Wednesday and it was freezing so I would advise all our fans travelling to Carlisle to wrap up warm and hopefully we will give you all something to shout about."

Rotherham will have suspended midfield duo Martin Woods and Eugen Bopp missing from their squad for the game. However, Justin Cochrane, who has missed the last three games, has shaken off a knock and defender Gregor Robertson has also been passed fit after four games on the sidelines with a knee injury. The Millers will also include young midfielder Stephen Brogan in the squad after an outstanding performance for the reserves in their 4-0 win at Hartlepool on Wednesday.

The referee for tomorrow's match is Graham Salisbury from Preston, and he will be assisted down the lines by John Hay from Lancashire and Paul Varley from Yorkshire, meanwhile the fourth official will be Jeremy Simpson from Lancashire.
