MK Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo spoke to the Milton Keynes Citizen about his side's televised lunchtime game against Carlisle on Saturday, Di Matteo hoping that the early kick-off won't be a problem for his players :

"Carlisle had a great start and have had a little dip in form lately, but during a long season you won't be able to be at your best all the time. They are going to be dangerous because obviously they want to stop this losing streak and get back to winning, so it will be tough game. I think they will be in the top six at the end of the season.

"The early kick-off shouldn't be a problem, you just have to adapt. I hope the cameras will influence our players in a positive way and they put in a quality performance. It is a bit of a shame that we don't have a full squad available but that is the situation and we will have to deal with it.

"We can't rely just on Sam Baldock, it is his first full season so let's not put too much responsibility and pressure on him. We seem to not be able to achieve back to back wins, that disappoints me, and we have to do something about it sooner rather than later."

Meanwhile Dons midfielder Peter Leven seems more concerned about his breakfast on Saturday :

"I have played in a couple of these games and it means eating pasta and chicken at nine o'clock in the morning and having to get up a wee bit early. Obviously we are more used to eating our cornflakes at that time of the morning, but the club looks after the players really well and the stuff that happens off the field is first class. All the backroom staff know what they are doing and you have to eat right and prepare well. I think it will be an early night too!

"We want to get a run going coming off a great result at the weekend so hopefully we can continue that. Some of our performances have been different class but you need to win the majority of your home games if you want to challenge for the title or promotion. And we'll take an ugly win if that's what it takes, just to get two under our belt.

"The games are more open for us away from home and we can hit people on the break, but at home teams just sit behind the ball and it can be hard to break them down. But we are going to work on that during the week and hopefully we'll get it right come Saturday."
