Peter ReidArgyle boss Peter Reid spoke to his club's official website and the Plymouth Herald ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at Brunton Park this evening, Reid saying the Pilgrims are desperate to get a win out of the game :

"There are ten cup finals left, but we're only concentrating on Carlisle and desperate to get a victory. We are going out to get a victory. Simple as. We have got to be positive. We know it is going to be hard. They have got a good record there, they are a good footballing side, they've got strengths, and you are always very wary when a team gets beaten heavily, but it's what we do, I am concentrating on my team.

"Obviously losing Baz (Onismor Bhasera) is a blow for us, because he gives us a bit of pace, but I'm hoping Arnie (Kari Arnason) is fit to play - we're just looking at him in training to see how it goes. We're keeping our fingers crossed. I'm hopeful, though. Clarky (Chris Clark) is available, which is a bonus. You need plenty of bodies.

"It's been smashing training at Sunderland, it's one of the best. When you look round it, it's fantastic. Monday morning's training was short and sharp, we did a small-sided game and some technical work, we just want to keep them bright and breezy. They are in good spirits. They relaxed after the Hartlepool game and had a free day.

"The games are physically demanding, and staying up here has given them a chance to recover instead of travelling, which is a massive benefit.  They had a free day on Sunday and I just told them to go in the leisure club and have a stretch, which they did. The most important thing is the football club though, it's been through bad times and it's important now it has a new future, hopefully a bright one. We need all the uncertainty out of the way.

"From defending really well against Swindon, I was really disappointed with the sloppy goals we've let in at Hartlepool. One came from a throw-in; one came from a free-kick. I thought it was a poor decision, but switched off and haven't defended properly. We played some decent stuff, but you can't afford to leak goals. I thought (Yannick) Bolasie looked really sharp, and Rory (Fallon) - we created a few chances. Didn't stick them in.

"Apart from that result and bad defending, generally, I have been pleased with the players. We just had a chat and I said 'Forget about Saturday - it's out the way; we need to be positive in this game' and that's the way we'll go. We can go away and play well and get results - like MK Dons, Sheffield Wednesday."
