Dons coach Alex Rae spoke to BBC Three Counties Radio ahead of his side's game at home to Carlisle this evening, Rae commenting later in the interview about the hopes of signing West Ham midfielder Nigel Quashie on loan, with that transfer now having gone through this morning :

" The home form has been pretty good this season and we want to continue that. The boys have been in today and have trained ever so well and they look hungry for the game to come. I think when you get a defeat you want the games to come thick and fast and obviously the game will do that for us, and mentally and physically we are ready to go again.

" I went to watch Carlisle at the weekend and they put themselves about well and they were unlucky not to get something from the game. So they will come here looking to try to get something. A lot of teams like to come, and our stadium is fantastic, so they will probably be coming here as underdogs so it is important that we impose ourselves on the game.

" Without a doubt Graham Kavanagh is the one with the actual quality throughout their team and if we keep him quiet then we nullify one of their big threats. (Vincent) Pericard now is upfront for them and Kavangh goes in the hole so they have got a few good options, and I think it is really about what we do and how we apply ourselves on the evening.

" We are more or less getting over all our injuries, Luke (Howell) broke his nose at the weekend and (physio) Simon (Crampton) quickly squared that up. So we are more or less getting everyone back, and it is the right time to do that with the games coming up over the festive period. "

" I think Sean O'Hanlon is coming on ever so well and Jude Stirling is back running now as well so before long we are going to have these two guys back in amongst the squad as well. Which is what we need for the second part of the season. Danny Swailes is chomping at the bit to get back in now and he is training ever so hard, but we are going to need everyone.

" I think the crowd have been great, they are quite vocal and it is down to the players to generate some atmosphere as well. So if the both of them are doing their jobs properly, the fans and the players, then it makes for a good evening.

" Without doubt the morale is still high, we are still in the top six and we have had some good form this season. We are obviously disappointed in the manner of how we have lost our last two but it is how you respond to these which will dictate how the season goes.

" We are hoping to maybe get something tied up for Nigel Quashie so hopefully he will be down soon. He is a vastly experienced player so hopefully that will be tied up soon. The thing is he is vastly experienced and has played at the highest level so when players like that become available we are obviously interested. He is a leader, he is an international footballer and you don't play that level of football without certain qualities, and we are hoping to add players of that ilk to the club. "
