Wolves boss Kenny Jackett spoke to his club's official website and the Birmingham Mail ahead of his side's League One game against Carlisle at Brunton Park tonight, Jackett though first looking back on Wolves beating Stevenage 2-0 at home last weekend:

“It was a hard-fought victory, I felt with the first-half performance we should have been further ahead, and while it is 1-0 you are always nervous. Stevenage, as all sides do, had their spell but we came through it very well and got the second goal which we always needed, and although it was hard-fought it was another excellent victory.

“We looked solid defensively and our goals against column is something to be proud of, the goalkeeper, the back four, and also the back-up and competition we have in those places is good and healthy and something that we are trying to replicate going forward.

“I am looking forward to the Carlisle game now, on a Tuesday night it needs to be full of heart, full of character and full of attitude which we will have. We will have enough of all of those qualities to go up there and get the result. It is our game in hand, it is our opportunity, it is our chance to close on Leyton Orient with them not playing.

“The long journey is a consideration but mentally we have to deal with that and come through and make sure that by 7.45 on Tuesday night we are ready, we are physically and mentally ready. Because, it is our game in hand it is a big game for us and a chance for us to put some distance really between ourselves and the other sides, so psychologically that can help us.

“It is not for the faint hearted this type of trip, we have enough quality we feel but we have to make sure we have the heart, the organisation and the guts to get the result that we need. We are going to need the supporters tomorrow night to win this game, our travelling fans have been numerous, they have been very, very vocal in the games, and that has contributed to a good away record.

"On Tuesday night to win that game up in Cumbria we are going to need those fans, so on behalf of all the players and everybody inside the club we are very appreciative of the people that are going. Carlisle have picked up some results too and pulled away from the bottom of the table. And also the performances have been very good. They’ve played well and they play good football.

"The pitch up there is always a good one so we think we’ll be able to play our game, build from the back, get the ball down and pass. I don’t think it will necessarily be an over-physical game because the surface generally is very good and at this time of year I’m sure it will be excellent. If that produces fireworks in a football sense, then as long as we get the result that's fine, but I’m sure it will be a very good game. Carlisle will get the ball down, try to play and try to pass."
