Gary JohnsonGlovers boss Gary Johnson spoke to the official Yeovil Town website ahead of his side's League One game against Carlisle at Brunton Park tomorrow afternoon, Johnson looking to make the long trip up to Cumbria from Somerset feel a litle bit shorter :

“We have got to make the trip, not enjoyable, but we have got to make it not look like it is seven hours. So, we have got a few things planned where we will have a few competitions and maybe a quiz, we will just be doing different things. We will be talking football, we will be showing them a video of Carlisle, a shortened version, so we will use the trip if you like not just to sleep but to get a little bit of work done in a classroom situation, albeit on the coach.

“Carlisle will be hurting from their Brentford game, me and Terry (Skiverton) went down to London to watch that game, I know it was on the television but we wanted the bigger picture. That was probably their poorest performance of the season so we can’t plan that that is going to happen again. So, therefore we have got to make sure that we understand that they are a very strong side. When we are playing these sides I put them in categories of difficulty from A to C and I have put Carlisle away down as an A game for us.

“Andy Welsh came on late on in that game at Brentford when the game was already lost really so he has not been a regular. Andy featuring will depend on what shape Carlisle decide to play, I am sure they will bring (Lee) Miller back because they will be disappointed that he hasn’t been playing. But, they have got some decent players and if you let them play and if you think they are going to play like they did against Brentford every week then you are going to come unstuck. We are going to have to be right on song and not be conned by that one poor performance they have put in.

“They are a decent team and they are just outside the play-offs, they will see this game as a game that they can win and put themselves in a play-off position, or near it, so we have got be ready for their best. So, it is one of those games where you have got nothing to lose, people are not expecting you to win, but our boys are buzzing at the minute and they are showing very, very good energy in training. We are going there with confidence and we have got to believe that we can come away with a result.

“We are certainly not going to go anywhere and believe that we can’t win the game. If the lads can produce their training in a match situation then we will be carrying on what we have been doing. I wouldn’t normally change a winning side but Dean Parrett is out, but Jonathan Franks, Jonathan Grounds and Michael Woods will certainly be travelling, and you don’t want to be travelling all the way up there and not be in the squad, so I will probably make sure that they are on the line at worst because of the numbers we have got, but it’s a shame about Dean Parrett because he was playing very well.

“We have picked up four wins out of six, a good return, they always say two points per game is title form, fourth in the form table, that is what you have to look at, so these boys are entitled to be buzzing because that is what we have got to do to stop the other teams that are also winning from getting above us, so every game is massive at the moment. We have got some quality players here and all they needed was that little bit of confidence. We have got to keep working very hard now and hopefully we can keep our run going in the next six games, if we do then there is every chance we will get the same amount of points and get out of trouble.”
