Tricky Trees boss Colin Calderwood spoke to the Nottingham Evening Post about this evening's big televised promotion clash against the Cumbrians at the City Ground, Calderwood saying that whatever happens the Forest supporters must get behind their side :

"We have some big matches coming up. That is what puts the situation in our hands, in terms of automatic promotion. We play Carlisle twice, which will have an influence on the season and also we have to travel to Doncaster and Tranmere and play Walsall at home.

"There are some tasty games coming up and if there is a time to hit form, this is it. We are in a position to compete and we deserve to be there. What we have to make sure of is that we do enough to deserve automatic promotion over the course of the next 14 matches. We have to do what Doncaster and Swansea have done, to sustain our unbeaten run, but we also need a sustained run of winning games.

"Remaining unbeaten is not the way we are going to get promoted - winning a lot of our matches will. March is a hectic schedule and we would love to kick-start the month with a win. A victory tonight would really galvanise everyone at the club and in the city. It would make sure we would be heading in the right direction.

"It should be a big night and a good advert for League One football. Some of the games we have played recently have been good. The Leeds game for example was fantastic, very competitive and very entertaining. This game will be tight and the make up of the two teams will ensure that we see two good clubs plying their trade.

"They are well organised, they have one or two new players this season. The addition of Cleveland Taylor on the right has given them an added edge. Their method of playing poses other teams problems. It is a nice run we have at home but we must continue that. To do so against Carlisle would be a big step in the right direction. "

"Will (Hoskins) has had a really good recovery this week, he is in contention for a place in the squad. And Nathan (Tyson) has improved really well as well. What has become clear is that there has been no tear in the hamstring, but there has been a spasm in there. That is something that can go almost as quickly as it comes. We are very hopeful that he will be back long before the five to six weeks that we had originally anticipated.

"Knowing the speed with which Nathan normally recovers, once he gets back to the point where he is able to run and run freely, he can be back in the squad pretty soon. We have to be careful with him in the future. I don't know what the causes are, but he puts a lot of stress on his body with the way he plays and it seems that he is not able to cope with a run of a lot of games in quick succession."

"What we do on the pitch has to lift the fans out of their seats. But what they do in the stands also has to have a positive effect on the players. It will go both ways but the players will give absolutely everything to get the right result. Mistakes will be made along the way but the disappointment everyone feels when there is a misplaced pass does not need to be reflected in a chorus of boos.

"We have got ourselves in a position where everyone must see the importance of being together. We are looking at tonight in a very positive way. We see it as an opportunity to create a gap between ourselves and the teams that we play.

"I don't think this kind of run of games brings extra pressure, it brings heightened excitement. What it should do as well is really put the fans on our side. There is automatically going to be that extra edge there to games, through the knowledge that, if you beat teams, you will gain an advantage over them."
