Swans defender Marcos Painter spoke to his club's official website and the Swansea Evening Post about the big match at Brunton Park tonight, Painter, back from injury, hoping to play his part in City's final promotion push :

"Richie Evans (physiotherapist) explained to me that I had suffered a re-injury at Northampton and that there was a possibility that could happen. I've played a lot of games this year, which probably helps explain it, and Evo says there is nothing serious wrong.

"I've got to admit I was panicking a bit myself after Northampton because you don't want it becoming a problem. But I'm happy there's nothing to worry about after discussions with Evo and the gaffer (Roberto Martinez), and I'm looking forward to getting back out on the pitch.
I'll be delighted to get myself back in the team and be a part of the final promotion push. But that will be down to the manager.
I'm in the travelling party and up for selection.

"It's another big game and I know the lads are glad we've got an early chance to bounce back from our disappointing result against
Bournemouth on Saturday. It's been frustrating to miss out because I've played most of the season and now things are starting to get exciting. But hopefully I can get back in and enjoy the last few games.

"It was a strange feeling on Saturday. I could see the scores as they were coming in with ten minutes to go. That was frustrating enough as Carlisle and Doncaster scored late on. But you could also see our fans starting to celebrate with a minute to go, only for a lapse in concentration to turn the mood on its head as we lost it.

"Hopefully we can put that right against Carlisle. We've bounced back before and I don't see why we can't do it again. It's not going to be easy. Carlisle have a great home record and they wouldn't be where they are if they were a bad side. With the two teams battling for promotion and the title, there will be everything to play for.

"We were all disappointed not to clinch promotion on Saturday, but from what I hear that's the way things usually happen down here. We are confident we'll get over the line eventually though. From what everyone tells me Swansea always do things the hard way. But as far as I'm concerned, it's a case of when not if.''
