Grecians manager Paul Tisdale spoke to BBC Radio Devon and the Express and Echo about his side's game against Carlisle at Brunton Park tomorrow, City letting the plane take the strain this evening :

" It is a very long trip but I think that we are used to long trips being from Devon. It has been made easier by the fact that we have got a flight to Newcastle on Friday night. At the moment though, the fact that we are playing in League One - I think that we will go anywhere. We are very excited about these fixtures and I am sure that we will take some supporters to the game as well, but it will be a long trip.

" I think that after Yeovil you are always disappointed when you think you should have got more points than you did. I have to actually push myself to be pragmatic about it and actually remind myself that we have had a decent start, we have been competitive in the first three games that we have played at this level.

" We have shown that we are capable of competing, it is a good starting point and I don't think that we have shown our best yet. So I think that we have got improvement to be done and I am quite comfortable with what we have done so far really. You are disappointed though when you play so well like we did and come away having just let it go a little and come away with only a draw, but a good start nonetheless I think.

"We have had a tough start to the season and we have to remind ourselves that we have got two results from the first three games in what has been a very tough start in a competitive league. Our expectations are high because we believe in ourselves. This league is a tough business and it is a learning curve for us."

"We came very close to a point at Leeds and haven't lost since in the league, so it is something to build on. We are currently at a rebuilding stage where we are reinventing ourselves and that will continue to happen over the next six months. We are going through a process and there are certain things we need to eradicate from our game and we haven't quite got there yet. We have not nailed down our pattern of play yet and I am sure there will be other disappointments as the months go on.

" Barry Corr is back from suspension, Adam Stansfield is still unfit and (Dan) Seaborne will be available for selection after injury, so we are getting back to full strength. You are always looking for new players and even after the 1st of September we will be looking, we don't stop, we will be looking every day.

" We are continually looking, will we bring anybody in? I don't know, it depends if the right player at the right price is available and who wants to come. So we haven't got too many options and we haven't got too many irons in the fire actually because I am more or less happy with what we have got so far.

" Our Stuart Fleetwood offer was not accepted and nothing has happened in the meantime. So they (Charlton) are very much the owner of that player, the player is registered to that club. Until that club decides that they would like to move him somewhere else and the player is happy to do so then we are not even in the picture. We won't go on forever with that one though, we have made our position clear. "

As Paul Tisdale has already mentioned centre-half Danny Seaborne is back in match contention after a foot injury that has kept him out of City's last two games. On the other side of the coin though 30-year old striker Adam Stansfield is still out of action for the Grecians after damaging his ankle ligaments in a pre-season friendly against Weymouth. Fellow frontman Ben Watson also missing out as he continues to look to get back to full fitness following a long-standing thigh problem.

Exeter are boosted by the return from suspension of striker Barry Corr though, the former Swindon man having now served a three-match suspension following his red card in City's 2-1 opening day defeat to Leeds. The Grecians are still looking to strengthen upfront however with the well travelled Wayne Gray, along with Cork City goalkeeper Daniel Connor, currently on trial at St James Park, Tisdale commenting to his club's official website on the two trialists :

"We'd like a third goalkeeper, and he (Connor) would be of interest to us. He spent four days training with us, and played in a practice match yesterday. We need to get back to him by the end of the week. We haven't made our mind up. He has certainly fitted in around the place, he just needs to fit with the dynamics we've got, he's a really competent, serious professional player, so we'll see.

"I haven't seen a lot of him (Gray), he trained with us and played in our games yesterday. But it is certainly not anything close yet. He is a hard-working player who defends from the front. He played with Marcus Stewart at Yeovil, so Marcus knows his weaknesses and strengths. He is hard-working and would do a team job from the front, which is a pre-requisite, otherwise you won't be part of a team."

The referee for tomorrow's match is young Michael Oliver from Ashington in Northumberland, whose father Clive is also a referee, and he will be assisted down the lines by Paul Hodskinson from Preston and Billy Khatib from Sunderland. Meanwhile the fourth official is Simon Clayton from Newton Aycliffe in County Durham.
