Notts County boss Chris Kiwomya spoke to his club's official ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at Meadow Lane tomorrow afternoon, Kiwomya hoping the Magpies can find some good form and get into a play-off spot come the end of the season:

“I don’t see the play-offs as being a long way off, that is what I am aiming for. I really think that if we can get back to back wins then we will be back in it and that’s what we need to try to do. We are still only nine points off and we can do that. But, we have to get off to good starts in games, we keep giving ourselves a job to do by conceding the first goal, it would be nice to go into half-time a goal up and we will be looking to do that.

“If we can go into a run of games at home and get points and then go away and keep doing what we have been doing then I can see us being there or thereabouts at the end of the season, but these next four games are vitally important. It will be a tough first one though starting with Carlisle, they got beat on Tuesday and they will be looking for a reaction. But, we just have to play our game and try to emphasise our ability that we have got in the team to try to win the game.

“The boys have been excellent but we have got some good players in there, and all of the players have got great attitudes so that helps when they cross the white line because you know they are going to give 100%. I have been encouraged with all the recent performances, it is more a case of wondering how we didn’t win than worrying about anything else, it is fine margins in games that puts you in that top six or keeps you just outside it.

“Luckily we have got players who can adjust to tactical situations, if you have a formation and you haven’t got the players to do it then it is very difficult. But, we have got some good players in there who can adjust quickly. We have just got to dominate when we are on top of teams and make sure we get our goals. We have got some massive games to come and if we are still in it after the next two or three games with the fans behind us then we can make it.

“But, we have got to give them something to shout about, we have got to be on the front foot in the first-half and give the fans something to get up and shout and sing about. But, the teams down at the bottom are fighting for their lives and so they might come and pack their defence, so you have really got to hit top form and have the confidence going into the games.”
