Glennon in his United days
Ex-Carlisle keeper Matty Glennon spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he gave his opinion on Town's 1-1 draw against the Blues. Glennon talking about the game and his return to Brunton Park :

" I think 1-1 was the right result, we had our chances and they had chances. Danny Livesey has done tremendously well, two clearances off the line I think from Danny Schofield, and there was just one little double save off me. Apart from that, it was quite an open game, not a bad game to watch but definitely 1-1.

" The conditions dictated the goal that Carlisle scored. It was windier than usual, obviously I've played a lot of games at Brunton Park over the years, today was a windy one though. At least there was a flat pitch to kick the ball off anyway.

" Luke Beckett is a top-class striker, I think he has got one goal in two in all the league games that he's played. He's scored a lot of goals and that's what he does for us when he gets the chance.

" On the equaliser I got a little nudge but I'm not the smallest lad in the world and I've got to be a little bit stronger than that. I'll put it down to a goalkeeping mistake really, I should have done better. I think the linesman did actually flag for a foul though but we never blame the officials, just catch it and that's it.

" It's brilliant to be back at Brunton Park, obviously I've had some of the best times of my career here. It was great to come back, I got a good reception, obviously there were a few people that have a strange way of showing things but 99% of the crowd were fantastic which they always were when I was here.

" Huddersfield is a good club, we play in a lovely ground and we play some good stuff. We've just had an inconsistent season though and it's cost us getting into the play-offs. I'm hoping Carlisle can get up there because they are still very close to the play-offs, they've got everything to play for.

" We still think that we've got a chance with eight points and eight or nine games, if you go a run there is no reason why you can't string four or five games together near the back end. If Millwall can do it from the bottom of the league then I'm sure someone like Carlisle and Huddersfield can. "
