David Raven
United defender David Raven spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips on Saturday evening as he talked about the 1-1 draw at home to Bournemouth, Raven chatting about the upcoming play-off matches against Leeds United :

" I wasn't very good as a fan today, we could hear a few scores coming through, we heard about Cheltenham because obviously that was involved with Bournemouth going down as well. It was twisting and turning, I was just keeping my fingers crossed that Yeovil were going to equalise and that we were going to nick one. It wasn't to be though and we've got another bite of the cherry.

" 40,000 at Elland Road, as a footballer you don't want to miss games like that, so it's the first leg that I'll miss. I'll be there supporting the lads, no motivation needed, the lads are going to go into that right into it. It's going to be a good game.

" We talk amongst ourselves, with the manager (John Ward) we have meetings and stuff like that. It happens all season, you have peaks and troughs, and it just so happens that we had a cracking couple of months and then we have had a bit of a trough. I think that's just football really, it looks like Nottingham Forest have finished on a peak so lucky for them, that's football.

" I thought that Bournemouth came here and did really well, you could see that they had won six games, popping the ball around and they did quite well. In the second-half we came out of the traps and we had the better of the game for most of the second-half, then they have nicked their goal. It was a good game, a good game for the neutral to watch. "

Meanwhile Blues assistant manager Greg Abbott commented :

" Leeds United is the good news isn't it because they will not take any motivating for Leeds United, a massive club. The lads are a little bit down that we haven't done it today but Leeds United is a massive game for us, a massive club. Everything will be against us but that is when we are at our best so we really look forward to going there and giving them a really tough time in the play-offs.

" They (the fans) have been absolutely magnificent and we feel like only on a few occasions have we let them down. Today we have huffed and puffed and we have just given it everything that we have got. We are going to have a go for the fans because they have been absolutely outstanding all season.

" He (Darren Campion) was fantastic, he's been thrown in at the deep end. He's done really well, he came in on really low money just to give himself a chance in football and today, with a lot of big players and big names in a massive occasion, he's been superb. That's all I can say, absolutely terrific.

" All I can say to the fans is that we are going to give it everything that we have got like we have done for 46 games. When it comes to effort, determination and character we win the League time after time. So that's what we are going to do in the play-offs, if it's good enough we'll get through, if it's not then we just go again. We're a big strong club with big strong people around it and we are just going to give everything that we have got, and hopefully make them all happy, look at them now, they are absolutely tremendous. "
