New United loan signing Joe Garner spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he gave his opinion on his first match in United colours :

" I thought we were on top for most of the first half and the second half really, but they nicked a goal from a set-piece and caught us on the counter-attack in the last two minutes. Overall I think I'm happy, I think the fans will be happy looking at what they saw. I don't think I'm here to judge on the referee but I'll let you have your own opinion.

" On one chance I just wanted he (Karl Hawley) to set it back really, I thought there was a chance for me to score but if he shoots he shoots and it's fine. I think all the boys really feel a bit aggrieved with the result but I think if we carry on playing like that, if we do carry on playing like that, then I think we'll be going the right way in the table and not the wrong way.

" I am looking forward to training next week, I only came up on Thursday night so I didn't really talk much to the boys – I got on with them though, a week of training will be good for me I think. "
