Match Reaction From The Town Camp

Terriers caretaker-manager Gerry Murphy, who was speaking to Huddersfield's official website, talked about the 1-1 draw against Carlisle at Brunton Park yesterday. Murphy talking the lack of quality in the game :

"The weather played a big factor in the quality of the game today - the wind was very strong out there and the lads found it hard to get the ball down and play. At the end of the day, I thought a draw was a fair result. It definitely wasn't football for the connoisseur today.

"Luke (Beckett) is a goalscorer and he showed that today. I thought it was a fantastic cross from Andy Taylor and Luke did take it well. I fell that if we could have gone in a goal to the good at half-time, it could have been a bit different in the second-half.

"I haven't spoken to Matt (Glennon) about their goal yet, but it looked like one of those things. A lot of players went up with him and he lost the ball and they equalised. He made a great double save at the end that kept us in the game. Matty pulled away from the challenge that led to the lad getting sent-off and so I suppose it was a booking by the rules of the game and with it being his second yellow that is why he got dismissed.

"I thought the second-half was shocking; it can't have been good for the people to watch. Having said that, the lads kept going and in conditions like that it's easier to be sat in the stands - despite the pitch standing up well to the rain. The weather didn't lend itself well to good football and when it's like that it is simply a case of getting stuck in and having plenty of endeavour. I thought that we defended well in the second-half; I could see a lot of commitment.

"It was a definite plus to get Andy (Booth) back on the pitch. Hopefully there will be no reoccurrence of his injury and he will be ok for next week. It's quite possible that I will still be in charge come next weekend and we will prepare as we have done this week."
