Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope spoke to the official Pirates website about his side's 1-1 draw against Carlisle at Brunton Park yesterday, Trollope suggesting that his players need to start taking their chances in front of goal :

"We were pretty satisfied with the performance. We were leading at half-time and we felt we were worthy of that, and then they came out at the start of the second half and put us under some pressure and got their goal at the end of it.

"We had to show some resilience in our defending at times, which is always expected away from home, but then after we came back into the game in the second half we produced a number of quality attacks.

"We had some good chances and several half-chances and on another day we would have won the game, but today we just didn't have the moment of quality we needed.

"There were a lot of disappointed people in the dressing room after the game, and that's a good sign. It was a draw that felt like a defeat, and there were a few arguments in there, which shows the progress we've made to come away from a place like Carlisle not happy with a point.

"We had some very good chances, and sometimes you need a bit of luck, a good decision or a bit of quality at the right time. We didn't get that today, but the result isn't the end of the world and we'll move on.

"We came for a win but we didn't get one, and now we've got two home games coming up and we'll be looking to get a good points return from them. Our away return has been decent from some tough matches, and now we need to start producing at home as well."
