Ex-Liverpool star David Raven
United's Birkenhead-born defender David Raven spoke to the Liverpool Daily Post about the match against Tranmere tonight, one-time-Rovers loanee Raven talking about playing against his hometown team :

"This is a big one for me. Tranmere are a big club and they will feel they've underachieved in the last few years. They believe they should be up there in the Championship - but there are a lot of other clubs with ambition, like Carlisle. They were right up there earlier in the season and they might see it as a big chance blown, especially if they lose to us.

"They have been an established team at this level and higher for a long time and their fans are expecting big things. We've just come up this season, so all the pressure is on them. Our lads can relax and try and play our football. We seem to play better when we're like that. It should be a good game. I played a couple of Friday night games there last season and it's always a special atmosphere under the floodlights."
