Andy BishopShakers striker Andy Bishop spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at Gigg Lane tomorrow afternoon, Bishop saying Bury were superb in beating Coventry 3-1 in the Carling Cup on Tuesday evening :

"The performance on Tuesday night against Coventry was brilliant, we were superb and we showed just what a good passing team that we are.  We can hold our own against anyone and that looks good for the season ahead.  I just want to carry on with my game, the more games I play the happier I will be, then the better it is for the team.

"I think every game is going to be a tough game in this league, so we will just take every game as it comes. Carlisle on Saturday, we will go into that with a lot of confidence and we will look to get something out of the game, and then it's really nice to be playing the bigger teams such as Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, then Charlton coming up."

In team news for the home side tomorrow they will definitely be without their skipper Steven Schumacher, who limped out of the Coventry game with a suspected calf muscle tear, the former Carlisle loan signing expected to be sidelined for six weeks with the injury. Meanwhile there are also doubts over the participation of right-back Phil Picken (ankle) and teenage Hull City-loanee striker Mark Cullen.

So, with those problems in the Shakers camp Bury manager Richie Barker yesterday signed one-time United trialist Patrick Cregg on a 12-month deal. 25-year old Cregg, having been on trial at Gigg Lane during pre-season, also receving international clearance today to be part of tomorrow's Shakers matchday squad.

The referee for tomorrow's match is Oliver Langford from Wednesbury in the West Midlands and he will be assisted down the lines by Steven Copeland from Merseyside and Joe Hull from Stockport. Meanwhile the fourth official is Jeremy Simpson from Carnforth.

Away from the actual match action, The Corp of Drums have been frequent visitors to Gigg Lane over recent seasons and they will be back for the game tomorrow. The Corp of Drums parading their 'Lap of Honour' before the game - and at half time, while also hoping to be in place to drum both sides out of the dressing room and onto the pitch prior to kick-off.
