Town boss Danny Wilson spoke to BBC Radio Wiltshire and the Swindon Advertiser ahead of his side's League One match at home to Carlisle tomorrow, Wilson looking for a siege mentality as the Robins hunt for their first County Ground win since the 4th of December :

"I think with the fans and the position that we are in it is a time when everybody rallies together and you have that siege mentality. That is what you have to develop and develop between yourselves and the fans, I think that is very important on Saturday for us. Again, the three points, it drags a few teams closer towards us. So, it is a very big game and a better game to have than an away game, that is for sure.

"We got a clean sheet up there and quite honestly we should have won that game up there. We had quite a few chances up there, I can recall it very vividly, but we didn't get them for one reason or another and that may be where the games have laid in recent months.

"But, Carlisle are a tough team, they have done very well this season, they have bought well. They have had a bit of a good run, they have got to the JPT final which is a big bonus for them as well. So, they will be quite buoyant and they have had a good result midweek as well, so it is all panning out to be a very, very important game for us.

"When we go out on Saturday, Carlisle should be thinking it's a volatile atmosphere,. They are coming to a stadium where everyone's banging for the same outcome, which is a win for us. I think then it becomes a very difficult place to play for the opposition.

"We're hoping that will be the case for us on Saturday, and obviously as a team we have to play our part in that, we have to give them something to shout about, and I'd like to think that that will happen. The boys have been very positive all week, and though we were disappointed to miss out on the game on Tuesday, everyone is champing at the bit to get back into it. "

"It's never any different whether you're pushing for promotion or fighting relegation like we are at the moment. You need everyone singing from the same songsheet. We can dissect what went wrong later on, but whilst we're still in the throes of playing games, it's very important that we all stick together.

"It is ups and downs and I think there is still a lot of football to be played and still a lot of ins and outs to be looked at. I think from where we are, I have said many, many times before, we can't look any further than ourselves. We know the position that we are in and we know it is a tough position to be in but we are ready for the fight.

"That is all we can be, we are ready for the fight, we have got some quality in the team and I think from that point of view we have to make sure that we are all focusing and pushing in the right direction.

"I am hoping that we have the same team and the same personnel available to us, that is the thing. That would save a lot of juggling around when we don't have to do it. But, I have been in this game too long to think that 24 hours doesn't give you some sort of a problem now and then.

"So, we are keeping our fingers crossed between now and kick-off that there is nobody that goes down with yellow fever or whatever. You are just keeping your fingers crossed most of the time, I think with the bit of bad luck we have had so far it would be wrong to think we won't have anything to contend with.

"But, if everything goes to plan and hopefully we get through the training sessions then it would be great that we could choose from the same squad as last week. I have had to work on numerous things this season, some things that we didn't expect we would have to work on, but you get on with it and you get through it and you move on.

"But, in an ideal world you don't want to put square pegs in round holes if you can help it, but in certain circumstances you just can't help but do that or try to do that. But, overall I think yes we have had to work on different things, maybe it will be a good experience for some of the boys to play different positions as well, that doesn't do any harm for future reference.

"It looks like Vincent Pericard is going to be a couple of weeks away, so we're still having to assess that. That's the disappointing part for us because at this moment in time, we could do with Vincent being available to us. But he's not, so we'll just have to get on without him. From Vinny's point of view it's so frustrating not to be on the pitch on a consistent basis, that's the hardest part. Hopefully he can give us a big push later."
