The diminutive winger has joined the Vics on a month's loan and will go straight into their squad for the Cheshire side's home clash with Farnborough tomorrow wearing shirt number 25.

"Theterror" understands that Northwich wanted to take Roca on loan until the end of the season but it was Carlos himself who stipulated a month long deal so that he could get a feel for the club before committing himself any further.

Roca was signed by United boss Paul Simpson in May 2004 on a free transfer from Oldham but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by and is struggling to show form on heavy pitches in a physical league like the Conference. He is also out of contract at the end of this season so a successful loan spell could lead to a permanent transfer if the Vics can escape the relegation trapdoor.

Carlos still lives in Stockport and will look forward to the 30 minute drive to work in Northwich rather than the long haul up the M6.
